We received great news that Jackie has been selected as a finalist for the Darrell Award, a literary award promoting science fiction and fantasy in the southeastern part of the U.S. The amazing part was that out of 7 finalists for the award, Jackie is two of them. That's correct. Two short stories she published last year were voted high enough by the committee to place as finalists. We should have asked for two tickets to the awards banquet at MidSouth Con--one for each Jackie!
